How Superman feels

I can't stand to fly

I'm not that naive

I'm just out to find

The better part of me

I'm more than a bird

I’m more than a plane

More than some pretty face beside a train

It’s not easy to be me

When people have high expectations of you, or when you excel in your own world, it can be quite a lonely feeling out there. I don't know if this is how Tiger Woods feel...

Clam Spaghetti Duo

I'm cooking Clam Spaghetti for lunch today. Two ways of cooking it - Clam Spaghetti with Cream Sauce (my favourite) and Clam Spaghetti with Tomato Sauce.

Recipe
======
- fresh clams (aka "la-la") from the market
- spaghetti (or linguini or farfalle or fettucine or penne or vermicelli or... I think you get the idea)
- cream sauce (I like the Campbell's Roasted Mushroom)
- tomato sauce (Anyone from Prego's collection)

Method
======
Put your spaghetti into boiling water, cook it until it softens. Run the spaghetti over running water to cool it down, drain it.

Add water into the Campbell sauce and add black-pepper sauce to taste. Bring the tomato sauce to warm for the tomato sauce option. Pour your sauce over the spagetti.

Wala! And serve it well it's hot. *yum yum*

Smile 2006

Funny. I was driving along SLE this morning, and I saw a traffic police (on the motocycle) along the road shoulder. It's not unusual to spot a TP there, nor is it funny. The funny thing is that, he is smiling! He has this irritating grin on his face! And he is giving eye-contact to the motorist.

I mean, what's up with that? I know we are greeting the IMF and 4 million of us in Singapore are supposed to smile because of the IMF. What else are Singaporeans capable of, besides following instructions? We don't smile when we're happy, let along being happy. (We are at the bottom of the Happy Country List, ya know!)

So now, perhaps it's because of the National Day that's coming next Wednesday, the TP might be thinking: "God damn it! I need to make my quota this morning. So come on down you lorry-drivers and van-drivers, go on, speed up, so that I can do my thing. And while I'm at it, I might as well SMILE. Not to be rude, but I will be thanking you for making my day. Hee..."

Eat

Work, rest, play, work, rest, play, EAT, work, rest, play, work, rest, play....

Today, I went to Taman Serasi again. So the Yummy Crab doesn't have 50% discount no more... I tried the Hong Kong noodle. It was okaaayy, wasn't that fantastic cos' I've had better ones, but okaaayy when I'm hungry. Then, I saw my neighbouring table, there's this lady eating a BIG thosai! Looks damn delicious, so I ordered. Waited long for the queue. Finally.... huge thosai, crispy-hot! *yummy* Couldn't finish it though, after a while. But shiok lah. The next time, I'll try the Nasi Bryani.

At about 5pm, I was hungry again. And I couldn't remember what I've eaten for lunch! Talk about short-term memory... Guess what I had for dinner? Bah-kut-teh! Wow, double-shiok! Thank God for giving me good taste buds. But I think I have to watch my diet. I can sometimes feel the bloatness in my tummy. Can't remember who was it who told me this, but why fart and waste it, when you can burp and taste it! *burp*
