Who else but Ernie Els! (round 2)

Busy updating the leaderboard...
(I'm the one behind from left)

Well, well, well. Ernie Els is finally on the Leader Board! And not only he's on it, he's on TOP of it! With a 6 under par, Els is co-leading with Scott Strange who had an excruciating back sprain throughout the 18 holes at Serapong today. What an ordeal for Strange. =(

It's exciting to be on the radio for the leader board scores. The morning started with quite 'boring' updates on the leader board. Not one of the heavy hitters were on the board... until at about 11:30am onwards, the heat was on. When I heard Ernie Els' name mentioned over the radio, everyone had an 'isn't it high-time' grins on our faces. It then started to make our job worth-while when we tagged up the three letters 'E-L-S' on the leader board.

And then, soon after, I yelled out YES like I've scored a birdie when I heard "we're having a new name on the board, Scott with a 4-under."

The view on the 18th hole was superb, I could see Els' fantastic second shot when he landed nicely on the green for a birdie chance. And he pleased all his fans with an easy putt for the birdie, which brought him to a 6-under for the tournament. Mardan finished with a 1-under.

After the crowd dispersed with Ernie Els' departure, another equally huge crowd followed Adam Scott's flight which came right after Ernie Els. Having some bad luck, Adam Scott's ball landed in the hazard, which he took a drop and bring his ball neatly on the apron of the green using his 3rd shot. Luck wasn't on his side still as he couldn't par that hole and settled for a bogey with a final score of 3-under par for the tournament.

Now that Round 2 is over, it'll be an exciting match tomorrow to watch how the leaders maintain their lead.
